Recovering Deleted Photos from iPhone Without Backup

Download and Install iPhone Data Recovery

Connect iPhone to Computer

Use your iPhone's USB cable to connect it to your computer. Launch the recovery software.

On your iPhone:

  • Unlock your device if it's locked
  • Tap "Trust This Computer" when prompted on your iPhone screen
  • Enter your passcode if required to confirm trust

The software will detect your iPhone and display its model and iOS version.

Select "Recover from iOS Device" Mode

In the software's main interface, choose the "Recover from iOS Device" option (this is the mode for recovering without backups).

Click the "Start Scan" button to begin scanning your iPhone for deleted photos. The scan duration depends on:

  • Your iPhone model (newer models scan faster)
  • Storage capacity (128GB-1TB may take 5-20 minutes)
  • Amount of data on your device

Do not disconnect your iPhone during the scan.

Preview Scanned Photos

After scanning completes, click "Photos" in the left sidebar to view recoverable images. The software categorizes photos as:

  • Deleted photos (marked with a trash icon)
  • Existing photos (still on your device)

Use these features to find specific photos:

  • Filter by "Deleted Only" to show just erased images
  • Use the search bar to find photos by name
  • Preview full-size images by clicking on them
  • Check photo details (date taken, resolution, format)

Select and Recover Photos

Check the boxes next to the photos you want to recover. You can:

  • Select individual photos
  • Click "Check All" to recover all deleted photos
  • Recover entire albums by selecting the album folder

Click the "Recover" button in the bottom right corner. Choose a save location on your computer (we recommend a folder you can easily find).

Recovery complete! Photos will be saved in JPG/PNG format, preserving original quality and metadata.

Transfer Recovered Photos Back to iPhone (Optional)

To get recovered photos back on your iPhone:
